Skid Steer Couplers
In order for the skid steer to place attachments to the side and move forward, we have developed two different coupler systems to provide contractors a choice, based on their application.
SideTool Skid Steer Pro I (A,B) Coupler: This allows the operator to swing the trencher to the middle (to go backwards in narrow spaces) or swing it to the right-side-only of the machine and drive forward while trenching. This coupler is roughly 8-12 inches away from the tracks/wheels when placed to the side of the machine to drive forward. It is very user-friendly as well as incredibly rugged and durable. Pro I-A accepts the trencher only, while Pro I-B accepts all SideTool attachments.
SideTool Skid Steer Pro II Coupler: This allows the operator to swing the trencher and all other SideTool attachments to the middle (to go backwards in narrow spaces) or swing it to BOTH/EITHER side of the skid steer and drive forward while trenching. This coupler is heavier than the Pro I and is suited for the contractor who needs to do work behind a curb or otherwise have the machine far away from an unstable grade. A heavier skid steer is recommended for this coupler.
Side Blade
Profit is often lost in the finishing work of projects, particularly when it comes to roads & bridges, sidewalks, and parking lots. The following tasks need a huge boost in efficiency in order for a contractor to increase profits and meet budget guidelines:
- Curbs & gutters
- Road shoulder grading
- Grading medians between roads and sidewalks
- Sidewalk grading
- Planter-strip grading
The SideTool SideBlade is the #1 solution for significantly increasing efficiency in all of these categories.
Compaction Wheels
EFFICIENT & FROM THE SIDE – The Compaction Wheel is the landscaper and utility contractor’s only attachment solution for 1.) compacting trenching spoils (sub-grade and topsoil finish grade) inside of the planter strip area; and 2.) compacting trenches after backfilling -All while driving next to the grade.
BETTER OPTIONS – When placing the Compaction Wheel on the skid steer, the operator has full visibility of the work while compacting the material in front of the blade. This creates grade perfectly matched to the road surface, sidewalk surface, or top of curb datum. When grading the planter area, landscape contractors are typically dealing with loosened trench spoils and topsoil. If there is no compact excavator available, this skid steer system is a smart and efficient solution. Using the Backfill Blade and the compaction wheel on either the excavator or skid steer works far more superior than to rake and shovel. *Requires Skid Steer Coupler or Excavator Coupler
The compaction wheels come in four standard sizes (widths): 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12”.
We can also build custom widths.
